Council calls funding cuts 'reckless' as consultation nears close

Richmond Council's full meeting backed a motion on 6 October against the government's funding changes, proposed by Cllr Jim Millard, who called the cuts reckless. The council says the reforms would take £29 million a year from its core funding by 2028/29, about 58% and the largest percentage cut in London, and could wipe out its reserves within a few years. Barnes Common Autumn Fayre, Saturday 17 October

An Apple Day celebration at Vine Road Recreation Ground, near the Pavilion, with apple pressing, fungi and nature walks, pumpkin decorating, a conkers competition and food stalls. Entry is free, though some walks and activities require booking. SOURCE →
