Castelnau Library is one of four places where residents can collect a free Warm Home Pack from 9 November, while stocks last. The packs are for people who received a letter from Richmond Council and cannot get to its winter support event at York House, Twickenham, on Friday 6 November, between 1pm and 7pm.

Packs hold a choice of draught-proofing materials, radiator foil, LED light bulbs and water-saving devices. The council says together they could save a household of four up to £250 a year. Anyone without a letter is directed to the event, where advisers from CREW Energy can assess eligibility.

For anyone with a letter who cannot make Twickenham on a Friday afternoon, a library counter in Castelnau saves a trip across the borough, and the saving the council claims makes it worth the walk. Stocks are limited, so go early.
